How do I book a bin?

Ring 1300 246 246 and speak to a Budget Bin Hire staff member to organise your bin delivery.


What size do I need?

Without knowing what is going in the bin it's hard to know exactly what size you need. Please feel free to call Budget Bin Hire and discuss what size may be appropriate. See Bins page for more details on bin sizes.


How much notice is required to book a bin?

Generally 24 - 48 hours notice is required before delivery; however we may be able to deliver bins on the same day if you ring early in the day. Please remember to book in as early as possible to avoid disappointment.


When and where can I have a bin delivered?

We deliver bins from Monday to Saturday. You can have the bin placed in the driveway or backyard without any permit fees. Bins placed on the road or nature strip require council permit fees in most areas.


How do I pay for the bin?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Cash or Cheque.


Are the any extra charges?

There are extra charges for green waste, mattresses, and tyres.

Can I specify a delivery or collection time for my bin?

Yes, generally we can deliver your bin at a specified time, however in busy periods (weekends, holidays etc) as we may be heavily booked we may not be able to meet your specific requirements therefore it is best to book early so we can accommodate your needs.


What is a cubic metre?

A cubic metre is measured using the Length x Width x Height. For example 6m³ = 4.2L x 2.4W x 0.6H

Do you deliver bins to all suburbs?

If you look on our home page, you will find a map of the areas we service.


If I change or cancel my booking is there any charges?

You can cancel or change any bookings prior to the day your bin is being delivered. Charges may occur if you change or cancel bookings on the delivery or pick up date.


To what level can I fill the bin?

Bins must be filled level to the sides of the bin. Due to road safety regulations we cannot carry bins that have been filled over the sides of the bin.


What cant I put in the bin?

Can I put a mixed load in the bin?

Yes, you are allowed to put mixed loads in bins. However please note that extra charges may apply depending on what the mixed loads contain.


What happens if I overload the bin?

Trucks are not allowed to carry bins that have waste above the sides of the bins, all bins must be able to be tied down safe and secure manner. If the bin is overloaded you will have the option to take the waste off the top on the bin to the bin is level or you can get another bin delivered at the normal hire price.


How long can I hire the bin for?

The prices quoted on this website are for a hire time of up to 3 days. See Pricing page for further information.


If I want the bin longer, are the additional charges?

The normal hire time is 1-3 days, any longer than this will incur an extra charge of $20 per day.


What if I'm not finished with the bin by the pick up date?

If you are not finished and need to extended your hire time, ring 1300 246 246 and organise a new pick up date. Extra charges may apply.


What happens to my waste once my bin has been collected?

We recycle as much waste as possible, and dispose of non-recyclable rubbish at tips in the local area.


Can I set up an account?

Yes, we do have offer accounts. Please contact us on 1300 246 246 for an account application.


Can you give me an exact quote?

Yes, simply call 1300 246 246 for an exact quote.


What if I finish filling the bin earlier than the organised pick up date?

If you have finished earlier ring 1300 246 246 and will get a truck to pick up the bin as soon as possible.


Do you remove asbestos?

No, we are not licensed to carry asbestos.
